HOSPICE

As part of our on-line community service resource centre, Roadhouse and Rose offers a directory of Hospice Services in York Region.

Hospices are non-profit agencies providing supportive care to those facing a life-threatening illness.  Qualified volunteers and professional staff are dedicated to providing emotional, spiritual and practical support, designed to enhance the quality of life for their clients.  The focus is on on enabling families to care for their loved ones at home for as long as possible.
Services include care-giver relief, transportation, food preparation, light bedside care and day respite programs.  As well, bereavement support is offered individually or in groups.  There is no charge for services.
