Obituary for Murray Abrey Green

Murray Abrey Green, P. Eng.

Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket on December 4, 2014 in his 85th year. Loving husband of Ruth (nee Bickerstaff). Beloved father of Catherine (Bob Horton), Norma, Peter (Barbara). Proud grandfather of Rob (Meghan), Diana, Dan, Ryan and Christine. Great-grandfather of Benjamin and Thomas. Predeceased by parents Sidney and Mildred Green and brother Kent Green (Margy). Murray was a Professional Engineer, graduated from the University of Alberta and practiced in the fields of construction and mining during his lengthy career. In August 2014 Murray celebrated his 60th wedding anniversary with his wife Ruth. Special thanks to the staff on the MSK and TCU units at Southlake Regional Health Centre. The family will be holding a private celebration of Murray’s life on Monday, December 15, 2014. Donations in his memory may be made to the Southlake Regional Health Centre Foundation or the Prostate Cancer Society.
