Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre on Thursday January 8, 2015. Loving aunt of Bob (Claire), Barry (Ruth), Judy (Bob), Bev (Jeff), Jenny (Randy) and their families. Predeceased by her brothers Fred, Andy, Al & Pete. Aunt Jean was born on September 3, 1924 in Burks Falls, Ontario and came to live and work in Newmarket for most of her adult life. She was actively involved in the Salvation Army and volunteered as a Brownie leader for many years. Jean enjoyed afternoon teas and other activities at her apartment building. Friends may call at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street S., Newmarket on Wednesday January 14, from 1-3 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 3 p.m. Special thanks to Jean’s “CHAT girls” and all her many friends who helped her out over the years.
