LONEY, Denise (age 68) - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Denise Loney (nee Lockerbie). Denise had a fierce love of family, animals, and friends. She spent the last 30+ years with her life partner Allan Hopia. Together they shared a great love for the outdoors and everything it has to offer. She leaves behind a daughter Tracey Elkerton (husband Darren) and two grandaughters Alexandra, and Danielle who she loved deeply. Denise was a kind, warm, smart and very witty person who loved both a good joke, and good fight. She always lived life on her own terms - always. There will be a memorial service at St. Elizabeth Seton Church at 11:00am Saturday January 17th, 17955 Leslie St. Newmarket, ON L3Y 9A4, followed by a lunch reception at The Elkerton's 18540 Centre St. Mount Albert, ON (416) 997-4196. In lieu of flowers please make donations to your local women's shelter, or Sick Kids Hospital.
