Condolence From: Melissa Smith
Condolence: Isabel was a wonderful lady with a such a kind spirit. I was fortunate enough to have her as my nurse when my second daughter was born and then to meet her again several years later as she became my patient. She spoke of her family with such love, and I know that her kindness as a nurse touched the lives of many many people.

Condolence: It seems so ironic that the last conversation we had together was about clothes. You had asked me if I had worn the red top you gave me for Christmas, and I replied, "No, I haven't worn it yet." You were extremely disappointed in me and I promised to wear it soon. Little did I know that it would be on the day of your funeral. Isabel, I can't believe you're gone. I love you, and I will miss you. Love, Margaret.

Condolence: Isabel and I were best friends in training at KGH. Thru thick and thin we made it thru to become the nurses and people we are today. So many memories. We lost touch over the years, with moving around and raising families, but always stayed connected every 5 years at reunions to catch up. It is with great sadness to know she will not be there in person but always in memories. Our prayers and thoughts go to your family as they travel thru this difficult time. Issie, you will be their angel, forever watching over them.

Condolence: I first met Isabel when I helped her birth her first baby Christine. We worked together for a long time and as nursing colleagues we shared our family stories and work stories. Lots of crazy evening shifts in the old building. I also remember the arrival of Mathew, Michael and Katie, her love of her sisters, her mom and dad and her inlaws. Please accept my deepest condolences with the loss of a mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and aunt. She was always so proud of her children and her grandchildren were the light of her life.

Condolence: I can't believe Isabel is gone. I have known her since she and her family moved to George Avenue in Renfrew from Scotland. I remember them wearing their kilts on the coldest Winter days. We skipped, played Kick the Can and Hide and Seek. We went to school, Brownies and Daily Vacation Bible School as well as Young People's at Elmwood Bible Chapel. After graduating from RCI Isabel went on to Kingston to become a nurse and we lost touch for a while until we met again at York County Hospital. I was taking the prenatal and she was a nurse welcoming the Moms to Be. I will miss our chats about our days in Renfrew. Her family and her family at Southlake have lost a lovely person. My condolences to all especially her children, Grandchildren and her sisters Margaret and Elizabeth and her Mom, Mrs Hayes.

Condolence: Words cannot begin to express the sorrow that we feel. Many friends come and go in a lifetime, but pale in comparison to the loving friendship Isabel gave unselfishly from her heart. I was blessed to watch her many acts of kindness and generosity. She always spoke of her love for her mother, children, grandchildren, siblings and friends. She remains in spirit with us always. "There are no goodbyes for us. Where ever you are, you will always be in my heart."
