Paul Baker Rivers
Died peacefully on March 29, 2015, at age 69. Paul was much loved and will be profoundly missed by his sons, Jacob (Nagako) and Jesse (Shay); his granddaughter, Arabella (Bubba); his sister, Nancy, and brother, David; and countless others whose lives he touched over the years.
Born in Toronto, Paul came of age in Thornhill and called Erin home for much of his life. His wicked sense of humour, as well as his zest for life and travel took him down many paths. He embraced every new adventure and always took an avid interest in his fellow travellers, often by correcting their grammar.
His family is especially grateful to the many extended family members and friends, old and new, who rallied round and sustained Paul as he struggled with his final illness. Special thanks to “The Block” and his “AV Tech” for the help and support so selflessly given in his final months.
All are invited to celebrate Paul’s life by joining family and friends at the Grey Goat in Newmarket on Saturday, April 11, from 3 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Stronach Cancer Centre (905) 836-7333 or online through roadhouseandrose.com.
