BURKE, Desmond James
(WW II Veteran - R.C.A.F. - Squadron #434 Lancaster)
(September 22nd, 1924 - May 16th, 2015)
Passed away on Saturday, May 16th, 2015, at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket, at 90 years of age. Beloved husband of Florence (nee Davis) for 63 years. Father of Louise and the late Andy (Marlene). Proud grandfather of Andrew and Candace. He is survived by his brother Ken (Betty) and predeceased by his sister Helen and brothers Ed, Tom, Pat and Ivan (Madeleine). He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will take place at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket, on Friday, May 22nd, 2015, from 6-9 pm. Funeral service in the chapel on Saturday, May 23rd, 2015 at 10 am, followed by a reception and interment at Newmarket Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Southlake Regional Health Centre - Cancer Centre, in memory of his son Andy. On-line condolences may be made at www.roadhouseandrose.com
