Obituary for Stewart Glenn Sangster

Sangster, Stewart Glenn
Stew passed away suddenly at Southlake Hospital on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 66 years of age.
Loving husband to Ivi and father to Benton and wife Julie, and Hayley Hobor and husband Eric. Grandfather "Bumpy" to Jillian, Trevor, Timothy, Voss and Lilia.
Stew will be greatly missed by siblings Alma (Gilbert) Sheppard, Judy (Barry) Macklin, Barbie (Doug) Weber and Paul (June), and his many other family members and friends. Stew joins his late sister Irma and parents Stewart and Gertie in heaven.

Stew was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, his home until he was 12 when the family moved to Toronto. He attended Earl Haig H.S. and graduated from York University from the business program in 1972.
Stew spent 29 years working in accounting at Ontario Hydro in Toronto and at Darlington and Bruce Generating Stations.
Stew was an honest man who lived by his word and spoke with his actions. What you saw was what you got with Stew.
Although he was known by many names (Stewie, Jr., Dad, Bumpy, Stuigi, Squiggy), he was one face to all.
He enjoyed reading, word and number puzzles and slapstick comedy. Stew was always a fan of numbers and had a talent to tell stories with them.
He enjoyed building things, from his car in his parents' basement as a teen to the family cottage at Sauble Beach.
Stew was someone who always looked after others before himself and never wanted to be a burden on others.
Donations can be made to Hill House Hospice and the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation of Canada.
