Robert (Bob) Duncan James McGann – Passed away peacefully at home on June 23, 2015 in his 80th year. Loving husband of Donna (Thornton) McGann for 58 years. Beloved father of Vicki Marie Brooks (Michael), Stacy Robert McGann (Cathy) and Bonnie Christine McGann (Alex). Proud grandfather of Amanda Victoria Brooks and Elizabeth Gabrielle Brooks. Brother-in-law to Joan and Dave Avard and Eddie and Holly Thornton. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews and his honourary children/grandchildren Lori, Kalene and Caleb. Bob was a member of the Mount Albert Lions Club, he served on the Newmarket Seniors Meeting Place Board of Directors and he was a long-time hockey coach in East Gwillimbury. A Celebration of Bob’s life will be held at a later date. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Stronach Regional Cancer Centre or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
