I only knew her from being a client in her store however you didn't need to know her for long as her warm smile and heart was felt the first time you met her. Condolence: My condolences to Cathy's family, and the girls at the shop. I've only met Cathy a couple of times. My first visit to the store was a few years ago to get some beads for a shawl I was knitting. The knit shop referred me to her. I walked through the door and I was hooked, taking several beading courses and of course getting lots of supplies over the past few years, starting a brand new hobby. She will be missed but will be forever in your hearts.

Condolence: It was my joy and pleasure to have known Cathy for many years now. I think we first met more than ten years ago, and we spent many hours sitting together at the doorway for the Bead & Button Show, waiting for the doors to be opened and shopping to begin. As the founder of the Local Bead Store Owners Alliance and a good friend for years, I watched her grow her business and encompass her family, friends and customers with her talent and her love. We've lost someone very special with Cathy's passing. I knew she was ill, but hadn't realized things had progressed so far. I'll look to my left when I'm in Milwaukee this June and I'll feel something missing that I'll never have again - a friend, a companion, and a fellow designer. My sympathies to all of her family. You've lost a lynchpin and such a strong, wonderful, and beautiful person.

Condolence: Bill, Jeff, David and all the girls in the shop,I am so sorry for your loss. I met Cathy many many years ago at the the Creative Needlework Show, where I bought one of her Amulet Bag Kits. Cathy gave me her phone number and said if you have any problems please call me. I did several times, ever since then she has been my Teacher, Mentor and my friend. She was a wise and generous woman sharing her vast amount of knowledge with everyone. The beading world has lost a major presence,and she will be missed by all that knew her. I will wear her designs with pride.

I first met Cathy when she was running her business out of the house and had one day a month when we could see and buy beads in person. Her attitude towards helping and encouraging creativity never changed from the intimate home setting to the store, to the expanded store. Her patterns are some of my favorites to work on and I will cherish the memories they bring.

Condolence: Bead on, Dear Cathy! I will miss your wit and humor and your spot on observations and willingness to "tell it like it is". I will forever cherish our friendship and be thankful to our precious beads that not only brought us together in business but also in friendship. Condolence: To Bill, Jeff and David....so sorry to hear this sad news. It has been my pleasure to work for many years for Cathy at the bead store. I will always treasure the wonderful memories of learning and fun! Cathy was truly an inspiration to me and many beaders. I wear her designs with pride! Condolence: To Bill, Jeff, David and Family.....I am truly honoured, to have had a chance, to work for Cathy and call her my friend. She always kept me in a awwww with powerful and strong ideas and designs. Cathy is one of those people that come into your life that you will NEVER forget!!!!! Not because of the new habit of collecting tiny shiny baubles and things, smashing designs or your credit card statements. Cathy is the Movie Star in the Beading World that we all wanted a glimpse of. I always joked with Cathy to create a design with 25 or less Swarovski Crystal. Well.....Lisa's Bracelet Pattern was created. I can say I have a piece of Cathy next to my heart and on my wrist forever.

Condolence: Cathy had a beautiful soul that shone through her every action. Creative, generous, kind and unselfish she created a wonderland oasis for beaders and artists of many different stripes, freely offering her guidance, talents and support. Cathy loved richly, deeply and thoroughly with her family always her motivation and priority. Those she gathered to her became part of her extended family and were always assured of her unstinting support and many thoughtful kindnesses. My heart goes out to all the family and multitude of friends who now face the world without her warm light. My own universe just became a dimmer, lesser place without Cathy in it.
