Peacefully at Southlake Village in Newmarket on Thursday June 23, 2016. Theresa, the beloved wife of the late Harry O’Brien and a loving Mother to Kathy (Joe), Kevin (Heather), Michael, Dennis, and Pat (Laurie), was loved by all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Theresa was born in Montreal on October 15, 1927 to the late John Patrick Darmody and late Eileen Darmody (nee Brown) and grew up in Toronto; she is predeceased by her brother Michael Darmody and survived by her sister Ruth Van Zon (nee Darmody) and sister in law Betty O’Brien. Theresa is a kind and gentle soul who will be sadly missed by all of her family, friends, cousins, and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St S in Newmarket on Sunday June 26 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm; Funeral Mass to be held on Monday June 27 at 11:00am at St. Elizabeth Seton Church at 17995 Leslie St in Newmarket, followed by internment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Thornhill.
