RIEDEL, Emmy August (nee Klebs) - Passed away peacefully at home, Sunrise of Aurora, on Friday, July 28, 2017, in her 94th year. Loving wife of her late husband Heinz Riedel (1975), sisters Erna, Waldtraut, and her late sister Ruth. We would like to thank Wendy for her friendship, compassion and the joy she brought to Emmy. Emmy emigrated from Germany to Canada with her husband in 1956. They settled together in downtown Toronto and later moved to their forever home in Bloor West Village. Emmy enjoyed her frequent visits with her family overseas and daily excursions to meet friends in the Bloor West Village cafes. A funeral service will be held in the chapel at Riverside Cemetery, 1567 Royal York Road, Etobicoke, on Monday, July 31, 2017, at 2:30 p.m., followed by burial at Sanctuary Park Cemetery, 1570 Royal York Road, Etobicoke.
