Obituary for Brennan Wolfgang Dettner

Brennan passed away peacefully in the early hours of Monday August 7, 2017 at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket in his 48th year. Forever in the hearts of his wife of 15 years Jennifer, and his daughter Aurora. Will be forever missed by his Father, Wolf Dettner and Sister Irene Basten. Brother-in-law of Peter Lalonde. Predeceased by his mother Elizabeth (Quin), his brother Derek, and his mother in law, June Mills. Greatly missed by his nephews Fraser (Brittany), and Curtis, and his great nephew Kiptyn, Joanne Davis (who was instrumental to Brennan through his formative years), and many other extended family members and friends.

Brennan spent many years studying the martial arts and achieved his black belt in Karate. Brennan had an infectious smile and had an amazing ability to find the bright side of situations which was invaluable while he fought this long battle with Cancer.

The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses, psw's, and technichians - especially Dr. Anna Wojika, Dr. Petrella, Colleen, Rebecca, Kevin, Ingred, Shirley, Ron, and everyone who fought alongside Brennan for the last 6 and a half years.

A cremation has taken place and a Celebration of life will be held on Thursday Aug. 17, 2017 from 2-4 pm at 11 Bow Street, Cedar Valley.

Memorial donations in Brennan’s name can be made to Hospice Georgina, 152 High Street, Sutton L0E 1R0 or to Hospice King Aurora, 4-350 Industrial Pkwy South, Aurora L4G 3V7 and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
