Obituary for Joan Bell (French)

Joan Bell passed away peacefully at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie on September 5, 2017 in her 91st year. Loving wife to the late Peter Bell for 47 years. Beloved mother of David (Marie), Peter (Pam Grossi), Julie, Laurie (Vic Michener), Joseph (Marilyn Dangla), John (Christine), Joanna. Proud grandmother of Tammy, Sarah, Charlie, Peter, Leah, John David, Daniel, Jesse, Claire. Great grandmother of Anthony, James, Ana, Bill, Shane and Tabitha.
Predeceased by sisters Marjorie, Julie, Ena and Jesse. Daughter of the late George and Jesse French. Joan resided in Cedar Valley for over 55 years. She had many jobs throughout her life, the most memorable as a rural mail lady with Canada Post and bailiff with the Ontario Court. Joan loved nature, her farm and her dogs. The family would like to thank the staff and residents of the Barrington in Barrie for their kindness and attentive care. Friends may call at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. S., Newmarket on Thursday, September 7 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel on Friday September 8 at 11 a.m., followed by internment at Pine Orchard Cemetery, Vivian Road. Reception following internment at Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Crohn's Society or the Schizophrenia Society.
