Obituary for Laurence Patrick Brassard

BRASSARD, Laurence (Larry)

(1944-2017). Passed away at home on Thursday November 30, 2017 with his family beside him. A true self-advocate who valiantly fought for years against his many compromising health issues. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Barb, his son, André and daughter, Danielle who have been his true constants throughout his struggles. He is survived by his brothers, Richard and Len, sister, Cécile, his many in-laws, nieces and nephews and his most loving aunts and uncles. Born in Kirkland Lake to the late Hermas and Olive Brassard.

He had been an avid ball player, golfer, curler, hunter and fisherman who never lost the love of outdoor sports nor for his many friends that were a big part of his life.

A very special thanks to Drs. Leventis and Zadra. Words cannot say enough for their compassion and care. Also thank you to CCAC and March of Dimes for their supportive network and caring PSWs. We wish to express thanks to Dr Yuen and Hyon, R.N. for their dedicated teamwork.

At his request cremation has taken place and there will be no service. A Celebration of Life, however, will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Roadside & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. S., Newmarket from 12-2 pm.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to your charity of choice. On-line condolence at www.roadhouseandrose.com
