Brown, John Harold – 1922–2017 – Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre in his 96th year. Loving husband of Betty Brown. Beloved father of Wayne (Lois), Barry (Sandra), Ted (Kathy) and Dan. Proud grandfather of many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Predeceased by his brothers and one sister. Son of the late William and Margaret Brown. Harold worked for many years at Dehavilland Aircraft as a storesman. Past member of the Newmarket Town Council and an executive member of the Newmarket Veteran’s Association. The family would like to thank neighbour Marlene Parsons, CCAC, Southlake Regional Palliative nurses, TFU nurses and Dr. Katie Mulhern for their caring and compassionate care. A celebration of life will take place at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. S., Newmarket, on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at 1 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Palliative Care department of Southlake Regional Health Centre.
