Pearl Cane (Doner)
Pearl Cane
(nee Doner)
September 6, 1915 – December 8, 2017

Pearl Cane passed away peacefully in her 103rd year while residing at Bay Ridges LTCC in Pickering Ontario.
She was the dearly beloved wife of 60 years to Belfry Cane (deceased 2001), mother of Donald (Mary (deceased)) and Douglas (Irene). She will be remembered by her 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Many extended family and friends will remember her fondly. Pearl was predeceased by her family - father Alexander and mother Lillie brothers Percy, Gordon, Leslie and sisters Bessie, Jennie and Helen. Born on a farm near Stayner, Ontario, Pearl moved with her family first to Aurora and then Newmarket. She graduated from Newmarket High School and later met and married Belfry Cane. She was known for her warmth and hospitality, and loved to host family and friends. She made her house feel like a home to anyone who visited. Her family was her pride and joy. The family would like to sincerely thank the doctors and staff at both the Clocktower Retirement home in Newmarket and most recently Bay Ridges LTCC in Pickering for their excellent care and compassion over the years.
Pearl will be cremated and interred beside her husband Belfry in Newmarket Cemetery following a private family service.
