Veteran of World War 11
We are sad to announce the passing of Josephine (Jo) Gault. Jo was born in Los Angeles, California, but grew up in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. She was a veteran of World War II working as a driver in Motor Transport. Jo was the loving wife of the late Joseph Arthur (Art) Gault for 70 years. Beloved mother of Lynne Metcalfe (Richard), Joeen Caines (Ellwood) of Newmarket and her son, Jim Gault (Norma Jean) of Calgary. Jo was very proud of her family and will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Jeffrey Caines (Laurie), Ryan Caines (Sandy), Andrew Gault and Heather Gault. She was loved dearly and “Nan” will be missed by her four great grandsons Lucas (Sarah), Joshua, Matthew, Daniel and great granddaughter, Emma Lowson.
Jo passed away at Newmarket Health Centre with her family by her side at the age of 93. We would like to thank the staff of the Newmarket Health Centre for the kindness and sincere caring they showed our Mom and Dad and our family for the years they made it their home.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Southlake Regional Health Centre Foundation would be appreciated.
There will be a Celebration of Life at Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket on Friday February 9, 2018 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Jo and Art will be interred together in the Spring.
