Passed away peacefully at Matthews House, in Alliston, on Saturday March 25th 2017 surrounded by family and friends, at the age of 76. James is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years Evelyn Davidson, beloved daughter Lorna Davidson, loving sister Lorraine McKavanagh and extended family in both Canada and Scotland.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, April 8th, 2017 at Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket, Ontario. Reception will follow service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Matthews House Hospice, Alliston, Ontario.
