Obituary for Adelina Rodrigues
On June 15, 2020, at the age of 89, Adelina da Costa e Silva Rodrigues passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long battle with Dementia and survived by her beloved husband, Adelino Antunes Rodrigues, her son, Rui Rodrigues and her daughter-in-law, Emma Huszti Rodrigues.
Born in Portugal in February 25, 1931, from a poor community, she came to Canada with her son on January 30, 1968 to join her husband with little more than a hope, a prayer and the dream of a better life. Together, they built a comfortable life, raised a son, traveled the world by car, by plane, by train and ship enjoying life to the best of their abilities.
Her biggest passion was nurturing seedlings and turning them into beautiful flowers along with rich and tasty vegetables. The only thing that will miss you more than your garden, is your husband, your son and your daughter-in-law who always called you Mom.
Rest in peace knowing that all you did for your family will never be forgotten!
