Obituary for Agatha Dorothy Blank (Yantha)

BLANK, Agatha Dorothy
Passed away peacefully at River Glen Haven on Monday, March 2, 2020 in her 89th year. Beloved mother of Ed (Carolyn) Blank. Proud grandmother of Stephanie and Michael (Karen). Great grandmother of Luke. Sister of Alphonse, Esther, Elzeard, Alec, Ambrose, Anna Mary, Leona, Julie and Eleanor. Daughter of the late John and Tecla Yantha. Aggie was a very giving, caring person, wanting nothing in return. She spent Christmas with family in Newmarket and other holidays in the Barry’s Bay and Combermere region. In the day she was known for graham wafer pies, spaghetti sauces and garlic breads. She made the best cold cut platters for Stephanie and Michael, cutting the cheese slices to perfection. Aggie worked at Canada Post for 52 years on the evening shift in South Central in Toronto. She and her cronies met for dinner, and then walked to work to begin her shift. Aggie was very fond of her grandchildren Stephanie and Mike, thought the world of daughter-in-law Carolyn and enjoyed playing with the family pets. Going to “anywhere hot” was not on her agenda. Ontario was the place to live and holiday! She will be sorely missed by all. Memorial donations may be made to the OSPCA. Online condolences at www.roadhouseandrose.com
