TAYLOR, Rodger
Passed away peacefully at Southlake Village, with his loving family by his side, on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at 76 years of age. Loving husband of Mary for 51 years. Beloved father of Ben (Kim), Laura (Jason) and Emily. Proud grandfather of Kaylee and Samantha. Brother of Norman (the late Sharon) and Paul (Jane). Son of the late Albert and Eleanor Taylor.
The most important thing to Rodger was spending time with his family. He was an outdoor enthusiast and this played out in his everyday life. He loved spending his time with family and friends camping, canoeing, hiking and at the cottage. He was a Scout leader for 14 years and took them on many adventures (e.g., West Coast Trail). Rodger and Mary owned the store, Camper's Place, where he enjoyed connecting with other outdoor enthusiasts. Later in life, he enjoyed hiking, gardening and his daily crossword puzzles. He looked forward to the time he spent every day with his granddaughters and enjoyed passing on his love of nature to them.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff on unit 4 East of Southlake Village for their care and compassion.
