Dear Karen, Christine, Lisa & all your family, & too brother David.
Very sorry to read of Al's passing. I recall many good times over BBQ's and fun Christmas Eves with your Mom & Dad & all the gang. Thinking of you all at this time and my deepest sympathies. Sincerely, Carol (Kirkland) Moffatt

Your dad was such a good natured sole, I cannot remember him ever getting too upset or angry (not that Karen and I would have given reason in our teenage years🥰). I was always in awe going into your home, having a fridge full of Coca Cola and Mr. K’s shelves in the basement full of items from his Saturday morning coupon shopping which he prided himself on. I too have fond memories of him cooking his great (Johnny) hamburgers under the carport. My thoughts are with you and your families and wish I could be there in person to give you hugs.
Love Patty

A couple of decades ago, we saw an ad for tax filing in the local paper, little did we know that for the next 20 years or so we would be looking forward to tax season every year as we would have the privilege of visiting with Al and Mrs Kirkland. We'd bring along the kids most times and they watched our Children grow as well, from infants to young adults ( and taxpayers) .Al was truly a sweet gentleman.we know he will be missed.

I met Al when we worked at The Toronto Star. We were both young and enjoyed going out for a beer now and again. Al was easy going and we often talked about sports and current events. He was well-liked at work and a bunch of us went up to a cottage once a year. We'd play poker and Al was much better than me! The two of us liked working at The Star, with Al staying for 44 years and me for 48.
With deepest sympathy.

Karen, Christine, Lisa and the entire Kirkland Family.
It is never easy to convey our heart felt condolences when we lose someone so special in all of our hearts. Our families spent much time together and continued to do so over the years, so this loss is also a difficult one for me. Working in the same building as your Dad and seeing him always put a smile on my face. He was the sweetest most gentle soul and he will be greatly missed. I hope in time you will all feel some sense of comfort knowing that he is back in the arms of his amazing wife and having a laugh with one of his best friends, my Dad, Gus and your Mum's dear friend, my Mum, Mary. They are all together again and as painful as that is for all of you, I know in my heart how truly happy they all are to finally be reunited. Rest in eternal peace Mr. Kirkland and please give a hug to Mrs. Kirkland and my parents as well.

It is never good bye, until we meet again. God Bless.

Love, Denise Connor (Morin)
