HIGGINS, Andrew Dunlop
1953 – 2022
Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre in his 69th year.
Loving husband of Linda (nee Ballantyne) for nearly 50 years. Beloved father of Cara (John) and Kevin (Lora). Proud grandfather of Megan, Riley, Aila, Jackson, and Raven.
Drew was born in Kilwinning, Ayrshire, Scotland on September 3, 1953. Son of the late Mary & Andy Higgins. Brother of Gordon, Mary, Isabel, William, and Margaret.
Drew spent much of his time reading. He was also an avid soccer fan, and a devoted supporter of Manchester United F.C.
The family would like to give special thanks to the York Regional Police, Central York Fire Services, and York Region Paramedic Services.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, July 24th from 2-4 PM at Roadhouse and Rose Funeral Home (157 Main Street South, Newmarket). A funeral service will take place on Monday, July 25th at 11 AM at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (484 Water Street, Newmarket). Burial will follow at the Queensville Cemetery.
If desired, memorial donations may be made in Drew’s honour to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
