Passed away peacefully with family at her side at 85 after a brave struggle with Alzheimer’s. Loving wife of Thomas (Tim) for 61 years. Beloved mother of Bruce (Jennifer) and Lynn (Tad). Adored nana of Oliver, Jane, Maddie, Nicole, Connor and Eli. Close sister of Pat (the late George), the late Ken (Mary) and Margaret (Eric). Dear daughter of the late Sydney and Mary Briggs of St. Brendan’s Parish, Rosemount, in Montreal. Also loved by a family of cousins, nieces, and nephews across Canada and in Northern Ireland. Ann graduated with top honours from Holy Names High School in Montreal and became a star wherever she worked. She met Tim while working at Texaco’s Head Office. They wed, started a family, and moved to Toronto where they spent many happy years among family and friends. Ann loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren and gamely took them to parks, coffee shops, restaurants, play centres, malls, cinemas, theatres and amusement parks.
Special thanks to the staff at Southlake Residential Care Village who treated Ann with compassion in her final days.
