Archibald Gerard McPhee
1953-2022
It is with broken hearts that his family announces his unexpected passing on Tuesday March 29, 2022 at his home in Newmarket in his 68th year.
Archie was a loving father to Tara (Mark) Lathangue of Georgina and Bonnie McGlennan (Brian Watson) of Innisfil and a caring Poppa to Noah, Katelyn and Danica. Dear brother of Katherine (Dale Longfield), Fiona (Joe Romagnoli), Vincent McPhee and the late Elly (James Rogers). He is the son of the late Vincent McPhee and Helen Slavin. Best friend of Stan and Vicki Gunn of more than 50 years. Dedicated friend to Sylvia Martin for over 10 years.
Archie was born in Glasgow, Scotland on October 11, 1953. His family moved to Morton Avenue in Sharon when he was a young boy. As a teenager he loved being a hockey goalie and when he was a little bit older discovered his love for Karaoke. Archie was a dedicated employee at Seneca College working in Caretaking and Facility Services for over 30 years. He was also a very active member of the Newmarket Veterans Association. He will fondly be remembered by his grandchildren for cheering them on at their hockey and soccer games, he was so proud of their accomplishments.
His humour and kind heart will forever live on in our fond memories of him.
Friends may call at the Roadhouse and Rose Funeral home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket on Sunday April 3, 2022 from 11 am until 1 pm followed by a Funeral Service in the chapel at 1 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations to be made directly to the Newmarket Vets' Association by calling Andre @ 289 231 5994. Following the service, the family will be raising their glasses to celebrate Archie’s life at The 10 Gallon Restaurant & Pub (446 Davis Dr, Newmarket). Those who would like to join are welcome to.
