Obituary for Beatrice May Peron (Willis)

Peron, Beatrice May

Passed away peacefully at Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket, Ontario, on Sunday, November 12th, 2023, in her 77th year. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends. She will be missed and mourned by many both near and far.

Born from very humble beginnings in North Preston, NS, she was the daughter of Beatrice and William Willis and sister to 17 siblings. May leaves behind great love and wisdom to all that she has connected with, especially her children and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her common law husband Richard Bradshaw. She also leaves behind the best of best friends, Christine Rice, having a 44-year friendship with one never far behind the other. Our family could not have been blessed more for your friendship with May.

May was a retired registered practical nurse & PSW, choosing to assist those in need, having specialized with long term retirement patients. She was a vocal leader and was president of her local union. She loved socializing, playing bingo, and always had time to march up and down the sidelines vocally encouraging both her children and grandchildren in their sporting activities. Always smiling, and with her unforgettable laugh, May touched many people with her spirit and enthusiasm, encouraging them to always do their best.

There will be a private family ceremony.

Special thanks to the entire staff at the Margaret Bahen Hospice, and for all with their prayers and thoughts. And to everyone who participated in the last few dance parties that left Grandmother May smiling while in the hospice.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to the Margaret Bahen Hospice.
