Carole passed away peacefully at The Margaret Bahen Hospice in her 81st year. Cherished wife of the late John Komisaruk. Most loved Mum of daughters Debbie Thorburn (Steve) and Cindy Milley. Adored by her grandchildren Josh Milley (Danielle), Jordan Thorburn, Lyssa D’Ambrosio (Dan), Kally Thorburn (Frank) and great granddaughter Olivia D’Ambrosio, who was born on her great Nan’s 80th birthday. Chocolate Nan to Liam and Havana. She is survived by her sister Myrle Williamson (Ross) of Ottawa, her brothers Bill Knight (Judy) of Alberta and Ross Knight (Karen) of B.C.

Carole was born in New Malden, Surrey England during WW2, to the late William Henry Knight and Alice Irene Joyce (Smith).

She was an accomplished runner, who completed many marathons, and ran The Boston Marathon when she was 65.
She also loved working at Shoppers Drug Mart at the 404 Newmarket, doing the books and worked up until last year, when she became ill.

Special thanks to her many doctors and nurses at Southlake, Princess Margaret, Mount Sinai, LHIN/healthcare and especially to Dr. Perrot at Toronto General. We are also so thankful for her many caregivers and volunteers at The Margaret Bahen Hospice;” these people are truly angels.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 227 Church St., Newmarket on Saturday July 23rd, 2022 at 1 p.m. Memorial Donations if desired to The Margaret Bahen Hospice. To make a donation online, please click the link below.
