Obituary

Desmond Courtney Kirkpatrick (Des)
1934-2020

Des was born 1934 in Bangor, County Down (Ireland) and has lived in Canada for over 50 years.

He will be remembered by all his family and friends in Canada and back home for his cheerful and kind personality and great sense of humor which he maintained throughout his illness.

Dearly loved brother of Joan and Uncle to Jillian and his niece Sharon in England and Nephew Paul and family in Ireland and Cousin Peggy in California, he will be sadly missed.

Des passed away September 17th 2020 after his long fight with MSA/Parkinson’s at Maple Health Centre in Vaughan.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the staff at M.H.C for their care and kindness during these difficult times.
Special thanks to Hope Hospice volunteer and friend Denise and puppy Charlie Brown who brightened his days with their many visits and to special friends Pat and Peter for their support and friendship.

Cremation has taken place with a Celebration of Life to be scheduled at a later, safer date.

Donations to www.hopehousehospice.com/donate in lieu of flowers would be greatly appreciated.

Des will be sorely missed by Charlie and I. He was Our special leprechaun!
I pray that you both will have courage when you’re afraid, to feel loved when you’re lost and experience joy when the memories flood your mind.

Love
