Aubrey, Dorothy Mabel, (nee Parsons) passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre on September 24, 2019 in her 97th year. Loving wife of the late Eric Aubrey, mother of Michael (Maureen) and Christine, Beloved grandmother of Erin (Jamie) and Jason. Born on England’s Isle of Wight, the daughter of a lighthouse keeper, she met the love of her life, Eric, while working as an executive secretary at Saunders-Roe. Seeking better fortunes, Dorothy and Eric emigrated to Canada in 1951, spending time in Montreal and Peterborough. While Eric was off building airplanes, Dorothy kept the home fires burning and raised their family. Dorothy loved birds, reading and was forever doing crossword puzzles. She particularly loved, and was loved by, her grand children. Dorothy will be sorely missed and always remembered. Special thanks to the staff at Southlake Village and Southlake Regional Health Centre who brightened her days. Visitation will be held from 17:30 until 19:30 on Friday September 27, 2019 at Roadhouse and Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket.
