Passed away peacefully, with family by his side, at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket, Ontario, at the age of 92. Survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Eileen (nee Kerr), and lovingly remembered by his daughters Marilyn, Susan (Danny) and Sharon (Todd). Very proud Papa to Kris (Ephie), Kauri, Dustin (Jennifer), Kayla (Ryan), Christina (Tom), Amanda, Samantha, Ryan and Sarah and Great Grandfather to Conner, Carsen, Aurora and Dillon. Edgar is pre-deceased by his son, Stephen, parents Rose and Carl, sister Trudy and brothers Keith and Bill. He is survived by his loving brother Carmen (Blanche), sister Betty and sister-in-law Carole.
Edgar was a kind and generous soul who loved his family unconditionally and never asked for anything in return. He loved his many pets over the years, the most recent being his very loved (and spoiled) dog Shadow. He had such fond memories of growing up in Sundridge, Ontario and working in the logging industry amongst the trees and nature.
The family would like to sincerely thank all of the kind healthcare workers at Southlake Regional Health Centre who provided such excellent care. A private service will be held for immediate family and in lieu of flowers, donations to Southlake Regional Health Centre or the Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket would be appreciated.
