Obituary for Emilia De Sousa (Toste)
Emilia Brazil Toste De Sousa
September 15, 1937-July 4, 2020
Died peacefully at home after a short battle with cancer. Her daughter and daughter in law Rosemary were by her side. Predeceased by her husband Alvaro De Sousa and son Francisco De Sousa. Loving mother of Benjamin (Lorella), Stanford (Lorrainne), Elisabeth (Rosemary), and Linda (Jason Guindon).
Cherished “Vavó” to Kevin, Robert, Natasha, Cameron, Connor, Cole, Matthew, Jordan, Adam, Sofia, Chase ( Laurie) and Hunter (Kelsey).
Beloved sister of Jose Fernando and Jose Fransisco.
Emilia will be remembered for her generosity, love, sense of humour and contagious smile. Emilia always shared her time, wisdom, and support to anyone who needed it. Through the years, she opened her doors to countless friends, including her children’s friends to offer a listening ear. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly. Emilia also had a special place in her heart for her furry grandchildren. They will miss her tremendously.
She was an amazing cook and there are countless stories of times where she fed people who were struggling. During her illness, she had a positive attitude and was courageous until she left us. Most of all, she loved to dance, especially with her husband. Alvaro is waiting in heaven for their next dance. God Bless you mom.
