Obituary for Tom Evenden

Frank Thomas “Tom” Evenden, passed away suddenly at the age of 85, on February 22, 2020, he leaves behind to tell his story, his wife of 67 years and partner in adventure Thelma Evenden and his four daughters, Wendy (Ken Loney), Vicki (Stan Gunn), Cheryl (John Goodman) & Susan.

He taught his 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild “Whatever you do, do with your might, things done by halves are never done right.”

Tom is the eldest son of Thomas Henry Evenden & Lillian May King. He will be sadly missed by his sisters, Ellen (Roy, deceased) and Dianne (Bob) and brothers, John (Audrey) and Bob (Sheila) and many nephews and nieces.

Tom’s accomplishments were too vast and varied to list in so small a space. We prefer to use the words of his friends.

He was a “true inspiration to live life to the fullest.” He had a, “wacky humour and huge curiosity for the world around him.”

Tom was an “Adventurous spirit”, “an inspiration of energy and enthusiasm.” and a “great example of living life to the fullest.”

He was “Bigger than life” and “His kids adored him.”

Family and friends may join us in a Celebration of Tom's life at Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, February 26, 2020 at 1:00pm for stories and laughter. A luncheon will be served.

Memorial donations may be made in Tom’s name to the charity of your choice.
