Obituary for Frederick William Palmer (Palmer)

Frederick William Palmer 1928 - 2021

Fred passed away peacefully at RCC on Tuesday August 3, 2021, in his 93rd year. He is sadly missed by his children, Dale (Lorinda) and Randy. Loving Grandpa to Krystal, Matthew, Jenny and Jeff, his sister Ruth and predeceased by his sisters Hilda and Betty. Son of the late William and Ida May Palmer (Diceman).

Fred was born in Toronto and moved to Newmarket. Fred was ambitious at a young age and believed in working hard to be successful in life and inspired his sons to follow. From his early 20’s he became an Entrepreneur.

Fred was an avid golfer, long time member of the Summit Golf Course, where he spent 6 days a week, and winters at Grenelefe Golf, Florida, Golf was his passion where he made many friends. Fred was a loyal Toronto Maple Leafs, Blue Jays and Raptors fan. Fred was a straight shooter with a big Heart. He enjoyed helping others that were struggling to better them. He will be remembered as a fighter to the end, a kind and generous man.

Special thanks to Betty Houston for all her help and friendship, long time neighbors’ Ugo and Janice Codelippi who were so dedicated helping Fred over the years, his faithful dog Teddy and his loyal dog walker Doug.

As per Fred's wishes, a cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral or service, a day of remembrance in the future.
