LOWMAN, Gary John
(June 23, 1963 - June 7, 2020)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary John Lowman on June 7, 2020 at Southlake Regional Health Center in Newmarket, Ontario after a short illness. Gary passed peacefully at the far-too-young age of 56. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his son Johnathon (Amy), daughter Brandy, grandchildren Elias and Owen, his mother Sylvia Lowman (nee Perrin), father Edward John Lowman (predeceased), brothers David, Chris (Jane) and Jim (Carolyn), as well as nephews and nieces Andrew, Jessica, Jack and Paige, and his step-mom Joanne Lowman (nee Scadding). He will also be dearly missed by his second family, the Woods, especially John Sr., Audrey, Michele, John, Jeff and Karen. As well, Gary will be hugely missed by a great multitude of friends, many who have known him since his teenage years or earlier.

Gary grew up in Richmond Hill where he attended Bayview Secondary School before graduating from Seneca College. He has lived in Newmarket for the last 25 years, where he developed his business in the carpet/flooring industry and was considered one of the best and most respected people in that field. He always treated his customers and associates the way he would want to be treated himself. His heart was as big as his compassion for helping others. His great sense of humour always left a big smile on the faces of all who met him.

Gary loved the outdoors, spending much of his spare time boating, canoeing and camping. He took great pleasure in teaching his children and eldest grandson Elias to respect all aspects of nature. He also loved his music and his guitars, and was an accomplished guitar player, appearing on stage many times. He especially loved jamming with his friends, who all look forward to seeing him in rock and roll heaven one day!

Our deepest condolences to the whole Family . We will always remember Gary coming out to our place in Port Dover with Chris and Jane . We had a power failure at night but no problem for Gary, he went over to our neighbors and 'scooped " out a solar lights from her garden so he could use it as a flash light to read ....... we still laugh about !
Our heart goes out to all,

John and Brandy I was so sorry to hear about your dad. My heartfelt condolences to you both and to all of your family. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of the service even though I was unable to attend. That really meant a lot to me. The service was really nice and I think Gary would have really liked the tunes you picked for him. John your speech was awesome. I could tell you were speaking from your heart. Your dad would be so proud of you. Our families have been intertwined for many years. Really going to miss your dad and it's going to be hard driving by your house knowing that Gary isn't in there and I can't stop in to say hello. If there's anything at all I can do for you, please let me or Eddie know.
