Obituary

BEAUCHAMP, Gloria Marie (nee Girard)
Formerly of Kapuskasing, Ontario

Passed away peacefully at home in Newmarket on Wednesday December 4, 2019 in her 80th year. Married to the love of her life, the late Larry Beauchamp for 50 years. Proud mother of Bart and Trevor (Jacquie). Much loved grandmother to Ben and Tyler. Dear daughter of the late Rolly and Blanche Girard. Gloria was the kind of person that would light up a room. She was loving, caring and had a great sense of adventure. While she lived to 80, she remained young at heart. Most of all, she lived for her family and friends – especially her grandchildren. She will be truly missed. A celebration of life will be held at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket (905-895-6631) on Sunday December 8, 2019 at 12 noon followed by a reception.

A celebration of life will be held at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket (905-895-6631) on Sunday December 8, 2019 at 12 noon followed by a reception.

A second celebration of life will be held at a later date in Gloria’s hometown of Kapuskasing, Ontario.

To the Beauchamp family, my deepest condolences.
I lost touch with Aunt Gloria and this news came as a shock. I will forever miss her and Uncle Larry's kindness.

So sorry to hear of Gloria's passing. She was a great neighbour, always so friendly and a pleasure to chat with. I always enjoyed chatting with her in the neighbourhood and at WalMart. My deepest sympathies to Bart, Trevor and the Beauchamp family.

Frank and I spent a lot of time with Gloria and Larry when we lived in Kapuskasing. They were both good, good people, with a great, compassionate understanding of human nature. Gloria had the loveliest, dry sense of humour, and always had a twinkle in her eyes. I will cherish the blanket and linens she made and gave me. They are in daily use in our home and remind me of her every day. We will miss her “ catch up” notes in her Christmas cards every year. We are so sad at this time of her passing, but so appreciate that we had the time with Gloria and Larry in our lives. Louise and Frank Sgro
