March 19, 1926 - August 27, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mom, in the comfort of her home and in the presence of family. She is lovingly remembered by her children Claire, Joanne (Jim), Frank, Sylvia, and Kevin (Nancy), her grandchildren Chris (Deb), Mary, Matt (Niki), Ali, David, Andrew, and Sarah, as well as her greatgrandchildren Jasmine, Austin, Cody, Elliott, Layla, Lincoln, Island, and Vande. Mom was a proud Canadian, a WWII Veteran, devoted Scout
and Guide leader, and avid traveller who explored all 7 continents during her retirement.
Mom was an accomplished knitter and artist. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time at the Newmarket Seniors' Meeting
Place, sharing knowledge of her hobbies and learning new crafts. A service to celebrate her life will take place on Saturday October 14, 2023 at 1 p.m. followed by refreshments.
In lieu of flowers a donation to Nature Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
