Obituary for Hans Josef Willi Knops (Knops)
KNOPS, Hans Josef Willi – Passed away at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket on Sunday December 11, 2022 in his 87th year. Beloved father of Norbert (Sarah), Kim (Michael) and Dale. Ever so proud Opa to Liam and Adam. Hans is predeceased by his brother Norbert. He will be sadly missed by his dear cousin Maria and family and by his nephew Hans.
Born July 27, 1936 in Dülken, Germany, Hans immigrated to Canada at the age of 26 where he worked as a tool and die maker and raised a family. Hans will be remembered for his love for beer, chocolate, and jigsaw puzzles, along with Football (Soccer), Formula 1, and the Tour de France.
Arrangements entrusted to the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home. A private cremation will take place. Please share a memory or make a donation to the Southlake Regional Health Centre or the Heart and Stroke Foundation in honour of Hans’ life well lived.
