Our hearts ache as we mourn the loss of our tiny, sweet and beautiful Jahzira Grace Wakelin. On September 29, 2023, this little light-beam came into the world. In the few precious weeks, that she was with us, she brought a lifetime worth of love, joy and courage to her Mommy Jenna Jay Wakelin. She was God’s perfect gift of “amazing grace” to everyone who loved her – to Daddy Ira Bruce Arsenault, Grammy Monica LeClaire, Grampy Melvin Wakelin, Uncles Josh and Jason Wakelin, her godparents Josh Wakelin and Sarah LeClaire and her cousins and many, many friends. Grandma Catherine Elliot, Grandpa Dirk Arsenault, brother Adric, Uncle James and Amanda, Uncle David and Chantelle and cousins Dallas, Sheala, Mariah and Ella. Predeceased by sister Kenadie.

Jahzira’s family wishes to thank the Rose of Sharon Services for Young Mothers, the community of St. John Chrysostom Church and others too many to name who made sure that Jahzira was constantly surrounded by love and care. In our deep sorrow, we find comfort knowing that when she left us on December 5, 2023, she was welcomed by hosts of angels and saints and will be held in the perfect Love of God forever where, someday, we will meet her again.

Visitation will be at 11 am on Monday, December 11th at St. John Chrysostom Church, 432 Ontario Street, Newmarket, followed by a funeral at 1 pm.
