Obituary for Jim Greig

It is with profound sadness we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of James “Jim” Greig on September 3, 2022. Loving husband to Carolyn for 53 years. Devoted father to Michael (Nicole) and Natalie (Kevin). Cherished grandfather of Connor and Brianna. Survived by his sister, Shirley Little (David).
Jim started his work career at Sterling Drug Ltd. in Aurora and retired from York Region District School Board in 2011.
He was a lifelong and outstanding resident of the East Gwillimbury community. He enjoyed growing up on the family farm and built his own home next door on the Second Concession. Once moving to Sharon he could be found walking his faithful beagle, tending his own garden or driving a tractor when the opportunity arose.
Jim was well known for his good humour and will be missed at morning coffee with the local folks. He volunteered his time and talents at various community events and assisted in caring for Sharon-Hope United Church. Winters were enjoyed curling out of the Bradford Curling Club.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Southlake Regional Health Centre, Sharon-Hope United Church or CAMH (Gifts of Light).
A visitation will be held at Roadhouse and Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket on Friday, September 9, 2022 from 7 - 9 pm. The funeral will be held at Sharon-Hope United Church on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 12 pm (noon).
Following the service you are welcome to join the family at Queensville Cemetery for the burial and/or remain at Sharon-Hope for a light luncheon. The service will be streamed over ZOOMClick Here for those unable to attend in person.

Online condolences can be left at www.roadhouseandrose.com.

Please hold Carolyn and family in your prayers.
