Obituary for Jim Knox
KNOX, James "Jim" - Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket on Sunday November 19, 2023 at 84 years of age. Devoted husband of Irene for 53 years. Proud father of Jennifer (husband Craig Farrell and his son Gavin Hill-Farrell).
Jim served in the Canadian Military. He was also committed to serving his community, as the founder of Association for Differently Abled People Together (ADAPT), an organization created to meet the needs of individuals with accessibility issues. Jim will be fondly remembered for his love and devotion to his family, his determination to help others and his unwavering spirit.
Visitation will be held at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket on Sunday November 26, 2023 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. A funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Sunnybrook Veterans Centre - Veterans Program.
