Obituary for James Joseph Mulroy

MULROY, James Joseph
Passed away at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, on Wednesday July 21, 2021, in his 86th year. Loving husband of 56 years of Carole (nee McEachren). Beloved father of Brenda and Rick and his spouse Jodi Killackey. Proud grandfather of Dylan Mulroy. Predeceased by his brothers Robert and William and sisters Margaret, Mary, Rose and Rita. Son of the late Daniel and Florence Mulroy (nee Hass).
Jim was born on January 26, 1936. He joined the Canadian Armed Forces at age 17 and after a 25-year career as a radar technician/instructor, enjoyed 16 years employed with Environment Canada. Jim loved spending time at his cottage near his hometown of Eganville, Ontario, and was known for being an excellent handy man, savvy card player and loyal Toronto Maple Leafs fan. He will be remembered as a loyal, kind and generous family man.
A private celebration of life will be held on a later date in the Ottawa Valley. Special thanks to Dr. Peter Anglin and Dr. Edward Park at Southlake. If desired, donations in memory of Jim can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Sebastopol Heritage and Historic Society. Online condolences may be made at www.roadhouseandrose.com.
