July 30, 1980 to March 30th, 2023
Jessica passed away after a sudden illness surrounded by family and friends at Southlake Regional Health Centre on Thursday, March 30th.
She leaves behind her husband Craig Leslie, mother Anne, father Donald, and brothers Daniel and Andrew, and many more from her extended family throughout the Pembroke area, London, Waterloo, Orillia, and Durham, North Carolina. Jessica was the loving step-mother of Mikaele Santoro-Leslie, and aunt to David Sutherland-West, and a friend and companion to countless others.
Jessica's most favourite pastimes included fishing, boating, cross-stitch, building LEGO, attending movies and live shows, and was an avid fan of the Blue Jays, Maple Leafs, and Toronto FC. She was also active in table-top roleplaying games – notably Dungeons and Dragons, Descent, and Hero Quest - and volunteered as Games Master for several groups over the last few years. Jessica also loved to travel, taking trips to France, the Dominican Republic, Florida and the southern United States, and Mexico.
Jessica spent most of her professional life in the personal insurance industry, first as a RIBO-licensed client service representative for numerous brokerages in the GTA, and more recently as an underwriter for Aviva Canada. She was well-respected among her peers for her wealth of knowledge, eagerness to further her professional education, and friendliness toward peers and clients.
Family and friends are welcome to attend Jessica's Celebration of Life to be held at the Roadhouse and Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket on Saturday, April 29th from Noon to 3pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket.
