Jodi was a high school friend and we lost track of each other over the years, however we never forgot about her kindness.
Please accept our condolences.

To the Wilkins/Petley families,
Our sincere and deepest condolences to all those that knew and loved Jodi. I am still in shock that Jodi was even ill. I have so many great memories of Jodi before we were married and had kids...going to Montreal for the first time, college parties, then both our weddings and then our kids. Seeing David, Samantha & Michael yesterday, I could feel all the love she had for not only them, but everyone that was there paying their respects. I know how proud Jodi was of her family and how much she loved and still loves them. You are a wonderful family and will hold each other up through this difficult time, of that I am certain. To the friends of the Wilkins and Petley families, check up on them. Talk about her. Often times we are afraid to bring up a loved one's name after they pass. Please don't do that. Talking about her honours her memory and the amazing woman she was.
Rest easy my friend.
Love Veronica & Richard Daley

My condolences to Jodi's family. I just learned the sad news.

Jodi was perhaps the best Carswell editor I ever had over the past 25+ years. An amazing woman. We never met in person, but we both spoke on the phone and communicated frequently via email.

She never failed to be helpful to me and often took extra steps on her own initiative to improve the process and the product. She embodied the motto: true service is doing the unexpected.

I hope remembering how incredible she was will help you in this difficult time.

Jodi was the editor of my environmental text published by Thomson Reuters, entitled Prosecution and Defence of Environmental Offences. We published releases four times a year which, for any editor is a full time responsibility and I'm sure Jodi had other publications on top of mine to attend to. She had a "no-nonsense" approach to the releases. They were always accomplished without fuss and ahead of schedule. Efficiency and reliability were her trademarks. I really didn't know her personally , although I did meet her at a publisher's reception a couple of years ago and found her to have a good sense of humour and a lively personality . I'm so sorry for your loss. She was a real professional and she deserved to enjoy what life has to offer much longer than she did . My deepest sympathies, Stan Berger.

To David & Family:

I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. There is a greater force which calls us all, at different times and for reasons we cannot fathom.
All the Best for your healing and reconciliation.
