Johanna Schickedanz (nee Kraemer)
March 6, 1924 – September 2, 2022
It is with deep sadness that the family of Johanna announce her peaceful passing at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket on Friday, September 2nd, in her 99th year.
Beloved wife of the late Kurt Schickedanz. She will fondly be remembered as “Tante Hanni” by her many nieces and nephews, as well as their families.
Tante Hanni was a loving, generous person, always willing to help. She loved cooking, entertaining, travelling, and gardening. She loved her flowers. She was involved in the Power Squadron with Kurt, boating was a passion of theirs. She was very involved in the First Lutheran Church in Toronto. She loved to sing, crochet, do needlepoint, rug hooking, and sewing.
Special thanks to the caring staff at Southlake, and the Renoir Retirement Home in Newmarket.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Southlake Regional Health Centre – Palliative Care unit, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
Hanni will be sadly missed by family and friends.
