Obituary for June Marion Livingston (Cooper)

LIVINGSTON, June Marion (nee Cooper) passed away peacefully in her 95th year on Friday January 11, 2019 at The Willows Estate, Aurora, On. Born on November 17, 1924 in Toronto, Ontario to Arthur & Alberta. June met her beloved husband John Stanley Livingston (of 63 years) while roller skating one evening, and the two were married shortly after in Toronto on June 16, 1945. They later moved to L'Île-Perrot, Quebec To raise their family. Loving mother to Wayne (Wendy), Lynda, Jo-Ann (deceased) (Roy) and Nanci (deceased) (Mike). Pre deceased by brother Ted. Devoted grandmother to Colin, Dan (Michael), Heather, Lisa (Richard), Carter & Kyle. Great grandmother to Tayler, Parker, Matthew, Jenna & Cole. June was a devoted mother, house wife, and friend. She greatly enjoyed social outing adventures including; shopping and having lunch with family & friends. To know her was to love her because she never took anyone or anything too seriously and always lived Life to the fullest. A stellar first class lady who carried elegance and poise. Always upbeat & admired. She had a remarkable outlook to always keep positive and keeping calm. She greatly enjoyed a past time of throwing and attending dinner parties, sitting out on her front porch sipping her coffee and religiously reading the morning paper “front to back”. In the afternoons you could find her entertaining friends with A bit of rum in her glass and catching some rays in her chaise lounge. She loved playing cribbage and Belonged to a bowling team for many years. She was greatly involved in her children & grandchildren’s lives, and avidly celebrating events travelling from Montreal to Toronto-occasionally Edmonton, Alberta as well. Junes favourite past time was travelling with her very best friend Isabelle Hebert. They set voyage on many trips to Maine together over the years. June enjoyed several cruises with her daughter Lynda and frequently visited Florida with her daughter Jo-Ann and joining other family members in tow. In her later years she moved to Newmarket where she lived in the care of her daughter Jo & son-in-law, Roy. She was always content wherever she was. Her presence will be greatly missed by many. Adored and forever loved for the exceptional-unique lady she was. Cremation will take place, followed by interment at St. James Cemetery, Toronto. A celebration of June’s life will be held at Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. S., Newmarket, on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 1-3 pm.
