MacEachern, Kenneth Gordon (1939-2022)
Ken passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on November 13, 2022 at 83 years of age after a long struggle with rheumatoid arthritis and a brief time with lung cancer. Predeceased by his parents Don and Ruth MacEachern, Midland Ontario and sister Joan Dwinnell. Beloved husband of Diane (nee Leach) for 58 years. Dearly loved father of Dr. Janet MacEachern and her husband Jon Buchanan, Kitchener, and Patti and her husband Dave Masotti, Wainfleet. Adored and fun-loving Pops to Maddie (Liam), Thomas, Olivia Buchanan, Michael and Evelyn Masotti. Ken was a teacher and vice principal with the York Region Board of Education. Our family thanks Ken’s PSW Merry Vic, the doctors, nurses and staff at Southlake, especially the palliative care doctors. Cremation has taken place. As per Ken’s wishes there will not be a formal service. A Celebration of Life will be held in the reception room at Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. South, Newmarket, Ontario on Saturday December 17, 1-3 pm with tributes at 2 pm. In Ken’s memory donations may be made to Southlake Regional Health Centre Foundation or a charity of your choice.
