Obituary

LENTINE, Kevin Paul (February 5, 1976 - August 21, 2019) - Passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 in his 44th year. Beloved son of Paul and Catherine Lentine and dear brother of Kimberly (Martin Rose). Loving uncle of Emily and Erica Rose. Kevin lived in Toronto and leaves behind his beloved dog, Dexter, whom he loved more than anything. A celebration of Kevin's life will take place at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. S., Newmarket, ON, on Thursday, August 29, 2019, from 1-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. On-line condolences may be made at www.roadhouseandrose.com

May your spirit soar in freedom
From the fears that gripped so tight.
May you find the peace you searched for
As you wandered, lost, in the night.

May your tortured mind be clear and calm
And your tender heart be warm.
May you have no need for strength now.
May there ne'er be another storm.

May the music of the angels
Be the sweet sounds that you hear.
As you're rocked in Heaven's cradle
May you ne'er shed another tear.

I'll wear your memory proudly,
My only brother...my true friend.
May my love for you reach Heaven above
Until we meet again.

Love your Sister Kimberly

I knew Kevin from public school he was so kind and sweet. Such a good friend to have. I know how much he love Dexter and touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. I going to miss his texts and laughter. May god take care of his dear soul.

I am shocked and saddened to hear this news. Kevin was my first best friend. I remember we became great friends in grade one. There are only two things I remember about grade one, the first being that my mom told the teacher (Mrs. Passfield) to make sure I always wore my snow pants at recess even when no one else did and the second thing I remember was becoming friends with Kevin. It didn't take long for the 2 silliest guys in the class to get together and likely cause our teacher a headache or two. We remained good friends throughout our days at Glen Cedar and we didn't see each other frequently during our high school years but stayed in touch occasionally. When Kevin moved back to Newmarket and began working at his dad's shop at the Mall my wife Shonagh and I never missed a chance to swing by "Paul Lentine's" to have a chat and get caught up with our old friend. Unfortunately Kevin and I did lose touch over the years but this news has saddened me greatly. My condolences to Mr. and Mrs. Lentine and Kim.

He is Gone

You can shed tears that he is gone,
Or you can smile because he lived,
You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back,
Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left.

Your heart can be empty because you can't see him
Or you can be full of the love that you shared,
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember him and only that he is gone
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on,
You can cry and close your mind be empty and turn your
back,
Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes,
love and go on.
