Obituary for Margaret Loftus (Duckett)

LOFTUS, Margaret (Duckett); Peacefully at home at Bogart Mill Trail on February 26, 2021 in her 87th year. Formerly of Manchester, England. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 52 years and best friend, Anthony (Tony) Loftus. Mom to Carlo (Chris), Theresa, Mark (Carolyn), Monica (Randy), Peter (deceased), Stephanie (Gary), Louise (Edwin), and Kevin (Natalie). Loving Nana to Jacob, Allison, Zachary, Anthony, Lucas, Bryce, Michael, Sarah, Angela, Jacqueline, Shannon, Rachel, Emma, Hayley, Joel, Chloe, and Great-Nana to Molly, Heidi, Nolan, Rowan & Madison. Retired York University employee, serving as the Winters Residence Coordinator.

Member of the CWG at St. Elizabeth Seton Parish. Avid golfer and former member and shareholder of Orchard Beach Golf & Country Club holding positions of Ladies club captain and MMLL Captain, from 1997 - 1999. Enjoyed many years with Snowbird friends at Camelot Trailer park in Malabar Florida. Had a variety of hobbies over the years to include, folk art, quilting, knitting, stain glass art, a nice glass of red wine and good hot brandy!

Given the COVID restrictions, the family has decided not to have a visitation at the funeral home in the hopes that we all stay healthy and safe. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 17955 Leslie St. (corner of Stellar), on Friday March 5, 2021 at 12 noon, followed by cremation. The funeral mass is now full.
