Marilyn was a proud graduate of Jarvis Collegiate Institute in Toronto where she was an acknowledged soloist in the school choir and the Madrigals. After JCI, she went on to create “People with a Purpose”, a social justice organization formed to improve the lives of inner city and racially diverse citizens in the City of Toronto. While it never received the widespread government support it deserved, in the years that it operated it did a great deal of good for people without privilege.
In her later years Marilyn lived happily near the Beaches in Toronto and enjoyed spending as much time with her family as possible.
